Parent Management Skills Group Therapy Program

Overview

  • Group supports parents with children struggling with ADHD and other behavioral concerns
  • Group members will learn strategies for managing and reducing disruptive, oppositional, non-compliant, and otherwise inappropriate behavior
  • Skills include: effective communication, positive reinforcement, structure, and consistency communication and other strategies proven to effectively manage behavior

GROUP LEADER: Dr. Alexander Tice, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of behavior problems

AGES TARGETED: Children (~3-9 y.o.), Adolescents (10-19 y.o.), and Young Adults (19-25 y.o.)

LOCATION: Virtual (e.g. zoom) or In Person at our office in Sparks

WHEN: Rolling admission, contact our office for details

COST: $95 per session

NOTE: This is a parent only group, and will not involve children or adolescents.

Anxiety Skills & Exposure Group Therapy Program

Overview

  • Skill-based group that provides strategies for those who are struggling with anxiety (e.g., social anxiety, social issues, health anxiety, COVID-19 worries, and generalized anxiety, etc.)
  • Learn skills to better manage anxious thoughts and physiological reactions
  • Improving skills to cope with anxiety, including physiological symptoms and anxious thoughts
  • Reducing distress and avoidance of anxiety provoking situations
  • Practicing how to successfully engage with anxiety provoking or stressful situations

GROUP LEADER: Dr. Alexander Tice, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety and OCD

AGES: Middle school (11-13 y.o.), High School (14-18 y.o.), and Young Adult (18-25 y.o.)

How will caregivers and parents be involved?

  • Groups for Middle and High school students will offer 2 parent-only group
    meetings
